Reflections on 2008

** I lived the majority of 2008 in a dark little flat a few minutes from the beach in Ayr, Scotland with two lovelies....and I loved it.

** I tried to maintain a relationship that never really met my needs, but that I still valued. Eventually I came to the conclusion that it really wasn't healthy for me to continue into 2009.

** I completed my honours degree in Commercial Music with a 2:1 grade

** I travelled to Paris as an early birthday celebration

** I visited London twice. Once for fun and once for a job interview. (I'm still waiting to hear on that)

** I published a book of my Joni Mitchell photos which will be for sale shortly!

** I reunited with 2 very important men in my life who still make me feel valued and special *grins*

** I had 2 paid photoshoots!

** I completed the 365 Day Project at Flickr..and treated myself to a new camera at the end of it. (Fuji Finepix s2000HD)

** I started my denim quilt (I have yet to finish ...but soon!)

** I opened RedToque and reached my target of selling 26 things by Christmas! :)

....and many more things....

2008 wasn't a year that I am really keen on remembering for the most part. I had many struggles and frustrations. Angst, anger, fights and lots of sadness. The good stuff did not outweigh the bad stuff.

Soooooo....a new year has begun! (Thank goodness!)

This year I really want to make some positive changes. I think I'm on good footing thus far, but lots to do!

** It's starting with a healthier diet and getting more active. Not being in Scotland and having to drive everywhere is NOT a good thing for my waistline!! In fact, the reverse can be said. Arrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

So that's the first change.

** I also want to meet new people that stimulate me, inspire me and lead me to different paths and experiences....and maybe even kiss me. *sly wink*

** I do want to be more crafty this year, more careful about purchases I make (I do want to be more girly..so I will keep adding to the feminine wiles chest. ;) )

** I'd like to read more this year, clear out all the clutter, finish the dollhouse, finish the scrapbooking for at least the 1st year of Scotland, clear out my closet and replace the junk with fabulous finds.(Yeah shoes!)

** I'd like to use up all the craft supplies I have and put them up for sale or create beautiful things from them.

** I'd like to blog more often, take more photos (I've joined a couple of new projects) and purchase a new camera in the next few months (Canon Rebel XSI...if anyone wants to donate to this goal, I would be very very grateful!!! :) ) I'd also like to bake/cook a bit more.
