I have a mad crush on a Scotsman. It's true. John Hannah is the most darling of men. (At least in this movie) I've always thought so. Even in The Mummy. *dreamy sigh* I am sitting here watching Sliding Doors and practically(let's be honest, I am!) swooning over him while I am waiting on apple pie muffins in the oven.

I know that relationships are NEVER the way they are in the movies. But isn't it nice to think that they could be for just a brief magical moment? Take this clip below.

Perfect in all of it's awkwardness and unsure footing. Beginnings are tough and scary and exciting and wonderful and nerve wracking all in one breath. But the one thing I do know is that without beginnings, how can we ever get to where we need to be? Without the nervous start, how can we reach a state of pure joy over the birth of something new in something familiar?

This past weekend I found out that both Tricia and Christine are engaged! What a wonderful time to start a new beginning! The beginning of a new year. :) 2009 is already looking much more promising than 2008! I am so very excited for them both. :)
