Weekend Money Spent: $67.99 ~ bathing suit
$33.64 ~ Canada Day beer//Mike's Mojitos & Mikearitas (total splurge and gifts)
$36.74 ~ UV filter for 50 mm lens
$42.22 ~ Herbs for the garden (finally!)

I went WAY overboard on spending this weekend, but partly for good reason.

I needed a bathing suit (I had left mine in Scotland last year because it was too big and motivation to buy a new one) and in all fairness, this suit was 40% off and the pool is just about ready! I am a confessed swimdress wearer. Sounds frumpy, no? Well, I thought that too until I started wearing them and feeling more like a 40's pinup girl. What's your bathing suit style?

I finally managed to get some herbs bought and planted for the garden! I've got some basil, sage, lavender, lemon verbena, garlic chives, curly parsley and corriander. (I also bought some catnip seeds to ensure that the cats avoid my herbs and eat their own..one can hope right?) We have lots of mint growing under the deck still as well..perfect :)

I forgot to mention that as a 'reward' for my first paycheque from the new gig, I went and bought a new purse from Danier which is GORGEOUS (and purple). (Oddly enough I have worked on projects with the people from Danier in the past, but have never bought anything there!) Anyway, I'm a complete convert. I've never had really fancy handbags (and although this one isn't fancy persay) I do plan on adding a few more goodies into my dating arsenal and clearing out some of the junk I do have.

But this afternoon/evening consists of tidying up, watching True Blood, possibly enjoying a Mikearita (I feel soooo bad for Americans who get the malt version of Mike's (Ugh.), when clearly the real vodka version is 10,000,000,000,000 times better!), reading some of my latest library book (The Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson) and maybe just maybe pulling out the quilt.

ha! I know what you mean. I have a swimdress that I love. It gives me cleavage and curves like nothing else I have!
