Like most good consumers, I have TOO much stuff.
I've never really prescribed to the minimalist thing...but I would like a lot less clutter.
My issue is that I have a tiny space and enough 'stuff' to almost make me look like a downscale episode of Horders. (And that's even with me moving into a bigger bedroom and everything!)
So...along with some much needed modifications to the new space (paint, shelving, new lights), it's coming along. Eventually, I'll show you what I've done on that front. I'm pretty pleased for the most part, but there's still more to go. It's all the bits and bobs that I'm having issues with. The 'stuff'.
Stuff including craft supplies, camera gear, cosmetics and a bajillion fiddly bits of paper that I somehow need to corale and organise. It's harder than it sounds. No kidding.
So here is my modus operandi for the next month..
1. Move things into boxes - out of sight (to be revisited in a few months)
2. Try to record all bits of paper down into one central location - and organise all papers into the places they should be.
3. Start to give away / donate / sell items that I've not used in the last 6 months or can't forsee using in the next 6 months.
4. Hang a couple more shelves
5. Hang a couple of towel bars (more on this later)
6. Get rid of some plastic storage bucket things I had
I'll let you know how it turns out...

Besides downsizing, may I suggest a trip to the Solutions store? It was SUCH a big help when I was redoing my closet.
